No one can make you mad, stressed out, happy, etc.

Sincerely pay attention now, this is important and will pay you many times over than the time it takes for you to put effort into weaving this truth into your default thought process.

You have a choice in every moment as to where you direct your attention.  Please sit with that for a moment.

Since you can choose, what would you like to experience?   Freedom?  Peacefulness? Joy? 

The even that triggered the emotion did not cause the emotion.  Your attention and interpretation did.  Consider this.  Two or more people observing the exact same object at the exact same time will have very different thoughts and emotions arise in them. Choose anything as an example.  Let's say door.  Someone might think, it is a strong door, someone might think it is a beautiful door, someone might think I am grateful for this door, someone else might think, I want a different door. 

The sum of all your thoughts and emotions contributes greatly to your quality of life.  It would be well worth your time to train the mind.  If only to never choose anger or jealousy again or any of the negative emotions.  Imagine how life is for one who chooses harmony, grace, love and bliss.  That is the choice all of us have as humans.
