Often, we don’t realize that we swallow our emotions to “deal with it later.”  Now is the time, the “later,” to deal with those emotions.  Here is one method to release anger and be further on the path to living a healthy, happy and long life and to being free.  Samkhya philosophy shows us repeatedly that anger hurts us and definitely does not help us.  Ayurveda says that anger is one of the many urges that should be suppressed.

Let’s set an intention to release anger in a safe way.  We forgive and forget.

Here is a Qi Gong method to release the anger:

  1. Sit with your feet flat on the floor, with your knees over your ankles.  Imagine tree roots growing out of your feet into the ground.  Breathe deeply with your diaphragm.  Be present.  Tell yourself to forgive and forget.

  2. With your hand in a fist, find and massage each tender area in your chest with your knuckles nine (9) times in a circular motion.  Massage your sternum, where the ribs attach in the middle of your chest from the collar bone down to where the ribs end near your diaphragm.  Take your time and continue to breathe deeply with your diaphragm.  Be gentle with yourself at first.  Massage as many areas as you can.  Continue to forgive and forget.

  3. Place the center of each palm on each respective knee.  Send the anger down your legs and release to the earth.  Breathe deeply.  Forgive and forget.

  4. Repeat this method as often as you can, constantly if possible.  Do some of the steps if you cannot do the entire sequence.  Release the anger.

We wish you luck. Keep putting effort at releasing the anger.  Be happy, healthy and live a long life doing good things.  Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
